The Kappa Rho chapter of Sigma Nu was founded on October 12, 1985 at the University of California, San Diego.
The principles of Love, Truth, and Honor were the basis for the founding of Sigma Nu Fraternity at the Virginia Military Institute in 1869. These main beliefs have been the hallmark of Sigma Nu throughout the years and continue to serve as the focal point of our brotherhood today. It is the belief of Sigma Nu that adherence to these three values will shape better men.
Sigma Nu members are active leaders of various teams and organizations at UCSD. There is no "typical" Sigma Nu. We excel on establishing a great diversity among our members in terms of beliefs and interests as well as in our cultural backgrounds. But as a group we share a common pledge to the ideals of Love, Truth, and Honor.
